FLOORCLOTHS
Floorcloths have been in use for hundreds of years.Originally called ‘oilcloths’, these hand-painted canvas floor coverings are decorative as well as practical.
They are easy to clean and are durable enough to be used in any area of the home.
A floorcloth can be used to complement existing decor or simply stand on its own as a unique piece.For my floorcloths, I use heavy grade cotton canvas. All pieces are primed before painting.
Multiple base coats are applied before I start the layout and painting of the design.
I coat the finished painting with 5 layers of latex urethane to provide lasting durability.

In addition to creating my own designs, I paint custom pieces that incorporate elements of the environment for which they’re being created.
I’ve worked closely with many clients on commissions for a variety of spaces.
Placemats, table runners, and coasters are all available, as is any other needed use of these decorative pieces.
Custom sizing is also available.
Backing is available, should you wish to hang a piece on the wall.

Siri went above and beyond with the care she took to create a series of placemats for me with antique delft bird tiles as the theme for the placemats. She executes custom work with confidence. Siri asked questions to make sure we were on the same page at all times. The results are outstanding. This is not my first purchase from Echo Hill Design and will not be my last. Highly recommend.
